Healthy meal ideas and recipes !

Healthy lunch and dinner ideas 

Here are some of my favourite healthy lunch and dinner meals :) 


Rice cakes with tomato mozzarella salad, chicken and peppers !




Ingredients :

1 Chicken breast - Fry chicken breast in a frying pan for about 5-7 minutes and add chicken seasoning to it.
2 Rice cakes - One Rice cake only consists of 30 calories.
4 Cherry tomatoes
½   Mozzarella Cheese
Chopped Cucumber
½  Green peppers
Fresh basil
Parsley 

Recipe : 

Add basil and Parsley seasoning to it and put all ingredients to a plate. Enjoy :) This meal should not take longer than 15 minutes to prepare, very easy and delicious.

Potatoes with chicken breast and peppers green onions and peppers !.



Ingredients:

2 potatoes
1 Chicken breast - Fry chicken breast in a frying pan for about 5-7 mins and add pepper seasoning chicken seasoning to it.
1/2 green onions
1/2 Red pepper
1/2 Green Pepper
1 teaspoon of greek yogurt
5 -6 small mushrooms 

Recipe:

Fry chicken and vegetables in a frying pan and add pepper seasoning and chicken seasoning to it. This meal includes carbohydrates , Proteins healthy fat and vegetables. This is the ideal dinner to have. Enjoy ! :)


Chrispbread eggs with cucumber chops,  tomatoes  basil and parsley !
Ingredients

2 eggs - Boil eggs for 6-7 minutes, and cut them into thin slides
2 chrispbread
Chopped cucumbers
Fresh basil
Fresh parsley
1 Tomato

Recipe
Chop boiled eggs into slides and add salt and pepper to it. Add cucumber chops tomatoes basil and parsley to it on a plate. Enjoy :) This meal takes about 10-15 minutes to prepare.

My love for healthy food !

Before I have started my weight loss journey, my eating habits were very bad. I ate very unhealthy and never even thought about eating whole natural healthy foods. That is why it is a surprise for me now that I enjoy healthy foods so much.

A significant amount of people do not eat healthy foods because it might take long to prepare or it might be expensive to buy. Whereas other people might say that they don’t get satisfied when eating healthy foods. Those were all the reasons why I never used to bother to eat or prepare healthy foods.
After being on a health and fitness journey for now six months I could not imagine me going back to my old eating habits, which mainly consisted of fast food and very unhealthy processed foods.

I have always enjoyed cooking and everyone that knows me knows that I love food lol. Therefore preparing healthy meals was not a challenge for me because I love to experiment with different sorts of  foods to start with and it also taught me important elements about healthy eating and nutrition which has helped me to control and manipulate my body while I was losing weight.

The beauty of healthy foods (vegetables and fruits) is that it is not processed which helps the human body to maintain healthy and strong. 
I look at it like that healthy eating does not have to be boring it can be as food as junk food lol just healthier and better for you.

My Weight loss Story !

Losing Weight
Losing weight is one of the most difficult things to do, it requires strength, determination, and motivation, which at times can be very difficult. However I believe that everyone has the ability and strength to make something happen that seems impossible.
A persons mindset is  powerful, and can either determine success or failure. I can say from my own experience that a positive mindset can not only transform your body but it can also change the way you see life. If you believe in yourself you can achieve the impossible, I have witness it myself and want to give other people motivation and inspiration to work hard for their goals and live a healthy lifestyle.  

‘’Dare to dream. For your dreams become words, your words become actions, your actions become habits, your habits become character, and your character become your destiny’’

This quote kept me going while I was going through my weight loss journey, and is still one of my favorite motivational  quotes that keep me going every single day.

My Story
When I have decided to lose weight, I was at my heaviest weight at 80 kilos,176 lbs and I knew that I wasn’t healthy. I also reached a point in my life where I felt lonely and just not happy with myself. I did not think there was anything wrong with me in terms of my appearance but I just knew that I needed to get fit and healthier in order for me to feel hundred percent happy with myself. I have since then lost 15 kilos, 33 lbs in exactly three months. My weight loss journey sarted on December 30th 2014, and ended on March 30th  2015.
It was a very difficult journey, but I don’t regret any minute of it because I have learned a significant amount of new things about myself, which made me very proud of what I have achieved.

Losing weight is not about being skinny or about having the best figure. It has a much deeper meaning, it is about treating the body that god gave you in a right way by staying healthy and active.
Since I have lost the weight I can honestly say that I feel much healthier and happier. It is amazing to think that six months ago I did not know anything about healthy eating, nutrition and fitness and now I can’t wait to learn even more about how our amazing bodies work.
I never liked to exercise in the past because my mindset automatically thought that I will fail, but positive thinking changed all that. I hope my fitness journey and my life changing experiences can motivate and inspire you to live a healthy lifestyle.
